Isadore "Izzy" Glosser

Isadore  Glosser  94, Los Angeles and formerly of Johnstown, died quietly on March 20, 2016.  He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Penina and Sam Glosser, and by his son, Mark L. Glosser.  He is survived by his wife Ruth,and children, Miriam S. Miller and David S. Glosser.  He is remembered with great love by his brother, Fred and sister, Freda as well as by his large extended family of devoted grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was a loving husband, a kind and devoted father and a friend to all who knew him.  He was an easy man to love and returned that love tenfold.  A great athlete, he won gold medals in the senior Olympics well into his 80’s.  He served as an executive officer of Glosser Brothers, Inc. and devoted countless hours to good works, including, the United Jewish Appeal, Catholic Charities, Junior Achievers, and Beth Sholom Synagogue; where he served as congregation president.  Friends will be received from 9:30 AM until time of funeral service at 10 AM, Friday, at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary, Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd.  Rabbi Irvin Brandwein officiant. Interment Grandview Cemetery.
